On November 20, 1918, allegedly at the stroke of midnight, Samuel Liddell “MacGregor” Mathers dies in Paris at the age of 64, almost certainly from the Spanish Flu.
About two weeks later, his widow Moïna announces this to the Inner Order, and declares that MacGregor named J.W. Brodie-Innes to be his successor as Archon Basileus of the Alpha et Omega.
