Crowley, acting as Mathers’ envoy, breaks into the Second Order headquarters on the first floor of 36 Blythe Road and seizes the property. He summons the members to private meetings where, masked and in Highland garb, demands signed pledges of allegiance to Mathers. Under the direction of Yeats, and with the assistance of Edmund Hunter (Hora et Semper) and the constabulary, Crowley was expelled from the property.
